The high point of the trip for me was the 24 hours we spent in this
Pygmy village. We went on a hunt with them -- they string up nets
and beat the bush, trying to scare small antelopes like dik-diks
into the nets -- and spent the night in their huts.
Communication was difficult -- the Pygmies speak no English or French.
We had to relay messages through our Zairian army guard, who spoke French
and knew some of the Pygmy's language.
